If you have installed the balancer shaft kit in a machine which has a number of miles on it, it may be advisable to check the side play on the balance weights.

      The correct clearance is:

Balance Weight 1 & 2       0.05mm-0.15mm(.002"-.006")

      If the clearance is more than this it will be necessary to reshim the clearance.

      Shims are available as follows:

      When using these install two shims on each side.

2 SHIMS EACH SIDE

      When installing weight 2 the side play is taken up by placing only 1 shim on each side of the weight to give clearance as shown below.
