9) Rotate engine to T.D.C. Note the location of balancer weights and location marks of case and sprockets; during reassembly, the weights will be properly timed with marks that are lined up at this point.
10) Remove plug, gasket, and spacer from end of balancer shaft No. 2. Discard these parts as they will not be used during final assembly.
11) Remove crankcase bolt nearest shaft No. 2. It will interfere with shaft removal. Discard the bolt and its flat washer; a new short-headed bolt and washer are provided.
12) Remove shaft No. 2 with the 8mm slide hammer bolt.
13) Remove plug assembly from balancer Shaft No. 1, using the 8mm slide hammer bolt.
